This publication is dedicated to 40-year history of the Imperial - the State Porcelain Factory 1904-1944 years. It contains information about the plant, biographical information about artists, sculptors and workers of the plant, extracts from historical records of production, staffing, information about stamps, forms and labels, as well as images of more than 3000 exhibits, many of which are published for the first time, from Russia's largest museums and private collections, with detailed annotations and commentary.

1. The brand with the inscription "ARTEL ART CERAMICS" appeared on the farm co-op products, "Art Pottery" since 1940. Was put on the farm products in 1940 - 1950.
Description Brand: Two horizontal oval (ellipse) - internal and external, with cropped left and right edges of the vertical lines. Within the first oval inscription "Artel" in the upper half between the outer and inner ovals words "ART" in the bottom half, the same way, the inscription "ceramics".
Was done in overglaze red ink version.

  
 
   2. Mark "X /K" - appeared on the farm products "Art Pottery" in the late 1950s. and was put on them until 1960.
Description Brand: Sector (radius R = 10 mm, the chord M = 10 mm) with an arc vertically and the abbreviation "X /K", meaning "ARTISTIC CERAMICS".
Was done in overglaze version with two colors: red and less metal salt, which gives grayish-green color after firing muffle.


 

 3. Mark "Gzhel T /W" - appeared on the products Turyginskogo Porcelain Factory in 1960.
Description Brand: Sector (radius R = 11 mm, the chord M = 11 mm) with an arc vertically and the abbreviation "Gzhel /T /C ', distinguishing version was done in overglaze painted grayish-greenish color.

 
 
 4. Mark "Duck" - appeared on the product after May 4, 1972 with the Organization for "Gzhel", which included the farm: "Art Pottery" (shops in the villages Turygin, Bakhteeva and Kolomina-Fryazino), "Gzhel Potter" (shops in the villages Troshkovo and Fenin) and porcelain with disabilities (in the village of fat). Was put on the product until 1986.
 Description Brand: Sector (radius R = 12 mm, the chord M = 13 mm) with the arc straight down from the stylized image of a duck on a traveling wave and the inscription at the bottom "Gzhel".
Was done in overglaze and underglaze painted versions of grayish-green color.
  
 
 5. Mark "Gzhel" - is placed on the software product "Gzhel" - JSC "Combine Gzhel" from 1986 to present.
 Description of mark: Inscription psevdoslavyanskoy ligature "Gzhel" with dimensions 13 (l) x 6 (h) mm (in some cases a mark of the parties to the size of 15 x 7 mm). Sometimes over the top mark, as if marking the oval-placed brand label "HANDPAINTED /", while below, in the same way "/inUSSR".  7. Mark "BIDAK-Gzhel" - appeared on the products of the private family-owned company of artists, VS and NT Bidak since 1996. Mark has not been approved by the Chamber of Commerce Federation (Rospatent), although the authors put down on all their products.
 Description of mark: Above the oval (ellipse) with dimensions of 14 sides (l) x 5 (h) mm, marked a continuation of the "tails" in the letters B and K in the caption "BIDAK" with minor fractures formed discontinuous lines are the word "Gzhel" draw a simple rectangular type, and even higher figure "Gzhel flower" with two branches of vegetation (right and left).

 9. Mark (mark) of the original - was introduced on 1 December 1997, as a protection against counterfeit printing on high-value products copyrights.

 11. Mark "Gzhel-O» on <crowned> double-headed eagle - has appeared on products of JSC "Combine Gzhel" in 1998.
 Description of mark: On the surface of the print format (print) with the dimensions of sides 18 x 18 mm, filled with the image of a crowned double-headed eagle - the emblem of the Russian Empire until 1917, which is framed as a central part of the brand in which is superimposed inscription marks "Gzhel" (similar to the mark number 5).

The idea marks "Gzhel" on <crowned> bicapital eagle belongs to the General Director of JSC "Combine Gzhel" VM Loginov, and the widow of Grand Prince Vladimir Kirillovich (grandson of a cousin of Nicholas II) Grand Duchess Leonida Georgievna, which granted a number of Russian porcelain factories formal law branding their products crowned double-headed eagle.  14. The brand with the inscription "GZHEL HC" appeared on copyright product of the sculptor-modeller JSC "Combine Gzhel" Aleksey Vladimirovich Ryzhenkov since 2001.
Description Brand: Two horizontal oval (ellipse) - internal and external, with cropped left and right edges of vertical lines having dimensions of 15 x 20 mm. All underglaze and overglaze mark (№ № 2-8, 10-14) and stigma type «HANDPAINTED /inUSSR» and «HANDMADE /INRUSSIA» on china paint pigment carried a dark green color, diluted with water, followed by heating in a light glaze version, and thus imparts grayish-green hue (color) mark (stigma).
