For his work "Night arlskoe Cafe" (1988, now in the RM), Paul Gauguin asked Madame Zhinu pose.
Later, in Saint-Remy, one of the preliminary portrait drawings, Van Gogh wrote several portraits Zhinu under the general title "L'Arlesienne" interpret from work to work the story of the portrait.
In one picture can be seen, even the titles to the woman - "Uncle Tom's Cabin" and "Rozhdestvennskie stories" of Dickens.
