Shibanov Evgeny
 
Born in 1941 in. Wade Gorky region.
In 1963 he graduated from the Gorky Art School.
Since 1975, member of Russian Union of Artists.
In 1960 he worked at the Ulyanovsk Mechanical Plant Experimental designer-constructor.
Since the late 1960s, participated in all the regional, zonal and all-Union exhibitions.
Works published in thematic albums, magazines, "Creativity" and "Artist".
 
The original period of the artist began v1989, after leaving the village Molvino, where the artist began to live the rural life of untamed nature, close to the simple people of the Russian village, which became the heroes of his paintings. Art critic Tatiana Stadler, author of the article in the album, "Evgeni Shibanov" determines the direction of the artist, where he works currently as a "grotesque realism". Virtuosic drawing, colorist art, original stories - these are the components of a recognizable handwriting of the artist, whose work can be defined as a synthesis of "high" academic art and the "downstream" of popular culture.
