All it likely that the "pure" modern (so to speak) in Russian icon painting is quite rare, most often an amalgam of styles, say neo-Russian (neoross) and modern, which is characteristic of icon painting in the early 20 veka.No shown my icon just painting pronounced modernistic stilya.Vot this Christ (Lot 293) is also attributed to modernity, as Ironically ..
