NEW YORK, Nov. 11 - RIA Novosti, Larissa Saenko. Portrait of Michael Jackson's hand, Andy Warhol, exhibited at Christie's evening auction on Tuesday, was sold for 812.5 thousand dollars, reports the correspondent of RIA Novosti.

Portrait of the King of pop music, filled the king of pop art in 1984, was estimated at 500-700 thousand dollars and still on the market was not.

This canvas is one of the versions of portraits of Jackson, which Time magazine subsequently issued its cover.

Two outstanding representative of pop culture met in 1977. And after attending a concert of Michael Jackson in 1981, Warhol described it as the most outstanding show, which he had ever seen.

Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009 at the 51 th year of life. The investigation revealed that he was killed. The main suspect in the case of the death of the singer - his personal physician Conrad Murray. Artist was buried in Los Angeles on September 3.

"The father of pop art, Andy Warhol died at 59 years old. At Christie's auction were sold eight of the ten most expensive works of this most priced contemporary artists. In May 2007, his silkscreen "Accident green machine" was bought for 71.7 million dollars - the record price for works of postwar art.

NEW YORK, Nov. 11 - RIA Novosti, Larissa Saenko. Work Scot Peter Doig "Reflection (How does your soul)" sold Tuesday at Christie's auction in New York for the 10 миллионов 162 thousand 500 dollars, becoming the top lot of trades, reports the correspondent of RIA Novosti.

during the gold rush as people went crazy. Nothing of their crisis teaches. I only prices on the art market, but not pace.

Not decorative something that is not for sale.
Doig's worth, it is not growth, it is a fair assessment, IMHO.

The question is, as among us experts at Doig bought more for the 13000, as was done by Saatchi?
