Looking at this baby, it is difficult to imagine that we face - in-law, KK Kostandi, the link between the brightest representatives of the South Russian school and post-war artists in Odessa - Volodya Sinitsky. Photo from my personal archives, showing the first time.

Like almost all artists of Odessa, Odessa Bukovetsky finished drawing school, entered the Academy of Arts, but soon left her and went to complete their education in Paris and Munich. In Odessa, he returned in 1891 and from then on continuously participated in exhibitions in southern Russian artists, and in 1894, together with Nilus became the author of the statute of the Association. All the rooms were very high and spacious. We went downstairs, and Bukovetsky showed me his room and bedroom. And I never thought that in these rooms we live in a decade.

Bukovetskim gathered an extensive collection of paintings, many of whom are of South Russian artists. Interesting information about the composition of this collection contains a note Zolotova art critic in the newspaper "Odessa leaf"
on October 17, 1916: - "It is interesting to say a few words about the workshop EI Bukovetskogo, which at the same time is a valuable gallery of paintings. It is one of the richest private collections of paintings in Odessa.

Many paintings by old masters XVI, XVII and XVIII centuries. There is a small collection of antique prints and tapestries of high artistic value.

After the death Kostandi in 1921 a committee was formed to perpetuate the memory of the artist.
Proposal Bukovetskogo on the organization of the Company. KK Kostandi was supported by pupils and friends Kyriakos Konstantinovich. Thanks to the efforts of this committee a year later at the grave of the deceased was erected monument. This is a simple base made of polished gray granite, placed on the granite steps, and screwed it on top of the four brass screws polished white marble plaque with a brief inscription: "Academic art Kyriakos K. Kostandi 1852 - 1921.

At an exhibition in southern Russian artists draw attention to themselves work Feferkorna.
