I have to "etching, really apologize, I place all the engraving, where the metal plate, regardless of the technology (etching, carving). This, of course, not right, but I feel more comfortable distinguished from woodcuts, for example. A series of "Apocalypse" I remember the tree.
I really got used to the other terms- engraving, etching , woodcut, etc.

"Clarification" my prime. For furniture courted. About grooming and maintenance of furniture and do not ask about the composition of the mastic, which part of the tree on the furniture not lacquered polished too.
Pictures also contain, but not so as furniture, let alone reverse, which is reached from the soot of candles and stoves, and anyone not interested. Hang and hang. : D

That so-called funeral shield someone from the genus Svinhufvud (Svinhufvud). No painting, no painting (well, actually it is rare) - as it is threaded. Wisit directly on the wall. The middle of XVII century. Stereosnimok placed in a church in laggs (Lagga kyrka) - 20 km SW of Uppsala (Sweden) in April 2007 in the church and soot from candles, and the furnace for 300 years navydelyalos lot. Electric lighting in the church was established in 1930, although the candles still used today, and electric heating - in the 1950's. How do you save trees?

Good preservation.
But this example should show?
Tomorrow I photograph the speed of some of the wooden bases. I'll show. If you do not forget.

It just says Cardell. In my book on fonts in the German section (and the book was published in Leipzig), is given a handwritten inscription old polugoticheskih fonts. The letter "d" there is written exactly as it clearly shines in this inscription, namely the "crack in" to the left at the top, and this "breaking" a sharp, not smooth, as it is written in such a form of Russian. In German, first write down the left side of the letter, and then also down the right, connecting the top and bottom turns "scrapping. No round-offs in Russian cursive. Add: and exactly two letters "ll", because this script letter "t" is written on a par with the string.

Amateur, at the processed photos easier to see that this is "C", not "G".
So admit my mistake.

Dear Eugene! I'm glad I will help as I can. But your last image too much compressed in JPG, and the lines to be restored and low-contrast thin - their size is comparable with the so-called artifacts JPG-compression. Ie much useful information is lost - it "fell victim" of this compression. For all methods of restoration of images can only enhance what we have, but are powerless to restore what is not. (The last image line inscriptions were quite thick). Try to take pictures of: a) separately each inscription that interests you and bigger, b) take off in daylight and not at filament lamps - this is slightly compensated for brown tree, and try as best as possible to focus and avoid shake (tripod!) b) remember the images in TIFF (lossless) if your camera allows it, c) the size of file will be large. If they do not fit in the allowed amount for that site, then place them somewhere on the side, and let the address. You can send it to my personal mail. If there will not be included, please tell me, I'll give you your e-mail, where up to 10 megabytes at a time is placed. I think all succeed!

By the way, Friedrich von Cardell - Prussian general who distinguished himself in the 1813-14 campaign he was in the battle of Leipzig, was awarded the Iron Cross 2 nd and then 1-st degree.

I do not know whether she could remember in the TIFF. If not, then set both, please, is the highest resolution JPG which there may well have to shoot in macro and fragments. I then sew together. You can not hurry up: tomorrow morning I'm going out of town and come back only on Monday. Here you well in Sochi - a resort, a clean sea air, go anywhere do not have to breathe, and Petersburg, and although the sea too, but not a resort, and the air is not a resort.
