In the schedule book Tyrsa came back in 1921, issued the "comedy of King Maximilian," and illustrations of the "Goat" (1923) initiated work in the children's book, where he soon became one of the greatest masters. Focusing on the readers and students preferring the theme of modernity or the nearest past, he has designed dozens of books, among which "The siege of the palace" VA Kaverina, Republic SHKID "G. Since the mid 1920's. Tyrsa paid more attention watercolors, as if preparing for a transition to oil painting in 1930. His paintings - landscapes, still lifes, interiors, images of nude models - grew out of field sketches, and, unlike the pictures were of a contemplative nature, but they are charged with enthusiasm for the richness and colorfulness of the world and draws temperament turn this world into a canvas. In the same years for his self-interest has acquired lithography, which he had previously used only in the illustrations. The idea of the spread of highly massive pictures fascinated him and inspired the creation of different multicolored prints (including the famous "Bouquet", 1939), and the tireless mind pushed to the invention of an entirely new technology "blur ink on a stone," much more widely possibilities of lithography. In the children's book Tyrsa now working less, but turned to books for adults and performed excellent illustrations of the "Queen of Spades, Pushkin (1936), Anna Karenina, Leo Tolstoy (1939) and" Hero of Our Time Lermontov (1940). In 1940-41. he took up more and glassmaking, and working with the VI Mukhina in the experimental shop of the Leningrad mirror factory, designed two dozen items - decanters, glasses and vases, characterized by conciseness and nobility of the original shape and a delicate sense of the nature of glass, which can be considered as one founder of the Leningrad school of art glass.

Most Stipa solo exhibition opened June 15, 1941, but lasted only a week - the war began. January 29, 1942 it weakened the siege in the winter, was evacuated from Leningrad, but it was too late.
