The artist's work Paevsky Ian /Ivan (Paevskii) "Wandering worker" (canvas, oil), size 18 x 13 in. /45.7 x 33 cm. was sold at Christie's in South Kensington July 19, 1990 [Lot 167] in the auction "British and continental art. By the choice of theme and style of the picture is similar to that kortoruyu you have shown.
Unfortunately, at Christie's auction data about the results until 1998, no. May be found on the hands of the catalog of this auction.

Not a fragment of a picture of you, do not cut off if its left side? And then some obvious imbalance exists. And the pose, and the old man's opinion strongly suggest the existence of something in the left side of the picture, but there's nothing there ... Besides, the old man's obvious problems with his fingers on his right hand.
