Collection Joop, writes agency Bloomberg, estimated at 18,6 million dollars. It will sell at two sessions of the New York auctions, 5 and 6 May.
Two paintings by de de Lempicka estimated at 4-6 million dollars each: a portrait of the Duchess de La Salle and a portrait of Marjorie Ferry.
64-year-old Joop, collecting de de Lempicka paintings between 1978 and 2003, said that nothing else collects: now he became an artist and is busy with his own projects and exhibitions. The first of these will open in Rostock on 10 May.
De Tamara de Lempicka (1898-1980) became famous during the second half of the 1920 portraits of European celebrities. In late 1930 she moved to America, where it became popular in Hollywood. Her paintings are collected Madonna, Jack Nicholson and Barbra Streisand.

This de Lempicka - something like recently lauded by Galina Rusanov (and her collectors, respectively), only seems to be flight attendants, she still did not bite

likely it is simply "popiarila" himself, "spin" (and what to do and would soon be forgotten!)

Well, this is more general aesthetics of painting the late 20's - early 30's., Especially in Germany - for example, the direction of "New Objectivity", but not exclusively. Many of these artists are not completely cooperated and were then in exile.

This work Redershaydta (incidentally, these works have disappeared and is now being sought). However, I have on hand is only still-lifes, but it is interesting to compare with the colors in the portrait Lempicka, similarity, in my opinion, obviously.
