When sculptor died, a house, a workshop and an archive of it, which few people knew (sculptor was not too sociable) remained outdated sister when she died and she, the chaos began, as close relatives of them. The structure of the archive include: a library of art books, finished and unfinished sculptures, paintings and drawings (mostly clasicos Lithuanian art school, etc.). Part of this archive (mainly library) took the Museum of the town, the birthplace of the sculptor, the rest were distant relatives, who sold this estate kollekcioneram and through art auction (work Dobuzhinsky: watercolor, graphics, lithographs including and it is easy to prove). That's the story. I think that museums in this story were careless, but probably the reason is that the museums did not have the legitimate reason to pick up this archive is private property is sacred.
