Why to evaluate if the picture sold at auction?
The price of the auction sale and is the best estimate.

.

The painting was sold on the German auction. Gone with the auction percent almost are, I gave a little less. The subject from a family of German entrepreneurs, who worked before the revolution in Russia. The author, apparently Russian. Oil on canvas, unsigned.

Yes, the artist, probably Russian. So with Russian origin and Volga kokoshnik I guessed.
In the Volga region, by the way, and now this hat in fashion

But the name of the artist, I'm afraid to guess will fail.
The price is 2000 euros is quite adequate and close to the upper limit. IMHO.
