Rare portraits by Russian artists Alexander Shervashidze, A. Yakovlev, Remy, Roerich met the famous St. Petersburg photographer-artist MA Sherling in 1913. This so-called svetopisny portrait. I love one shot: a middle-aged married couple - and with them a girl of 12 (daughter, granddaughter?). The only shot in the whole directory in which a person is smiling! Those adults are serious, the girl with one hand so tenderly embraces this serious man, and so sweet, warm smile, which emanates from the entire plate incredible warmth.
