Vulokh Igor was born in Kazan in 1938. His childhood had on post-war period - lost his father at the front, he was in an orphanage after his mother was in the hospital because of a hungry fainting. Family reunion was held just after the war.

Experts on the artist noted that a great influence on the formation of the master had his teacher at the Kazan Art School Victor Podgursky, well versed in Chinese and Japanese art. In Moscow Vulokh began exhibiting in 1957, when in the "Arena" was shown his landscape "Winter," for which he received a good response from the sculptor Sergei Konenkov and artist Konstantin Yuon. After that, he decided to enroll in the Surikov Institute, but the result was a student at the Faculty of Arts Institute of Cinematography, where he met with the current Director of the Cinema Museum Nahum Kleymanom and Vasily Shukshin.

Visiting Kleiman Vulokh met with Gennady Aigi, and since then has started to develop their creative tandem - the artist has visualized his poetic lines, and that, in turn, dedicated to his friend a cycle of poems.
