I would have awarded the title of " Sargis Muradyan (1927-2007) Brilliant Artist of the Armenian SSR . "

To him it was a very ambiguous attitude in life and even after . He is a recognized master . For many years, was chairman of Armenia's Union of Artists . certainly creative, constantly changing style, themes, colors, but very uneven. He has a brilliant product and very weak. The National Art Gallery of his best work : "Komitas " (157x200). He wrote it in 1956 , is his thesis .

Archimandrite ( Archimandrite ) Komitas 1869 - 1935
A cult figure , a symbol of national identity.
Armenian composer , musicologist , folklorist , singer and choral conductor ..
 Gathered , recorded and processed a huge number of folk songs.
Author of church music . One of the Armenian liturgy ( Patarag ) - it.
His fate was tragic.
He was arrested during the genocide in 1915 (at the time of his arrest picture ), then was released and exiled.
He died in a psychiatric hospital near Paris, in the hospital campus VILLEJUIF , holding there for almost 20 years.

Really amazing music, especially choral performance , a sense of how Bach.
Many people ( and me) from her fall into a trance.
