He headed one of the workshops Stroykoma design bureau. In his independent work in the second half of the 1920s. consistently developed the idea of ​​designing a functional method. The main issue over which the architect has worked in those years was the development of theater and cinema. In the late 1920s - early 1930s. together with architects, NF Demkov, VK Krylov and VP Makashov created a series of projects, workers' clubs, among them - the name Club Orlov plant named after Friedrich Engels (1928-1929, rebuilt) and Sovtorgsluzhaschih Club (The House of Culture named after the first five years, 1929-1930, rebuilt in 1949-1961) in Leningrad, the House of Culture Petrozavodsk (1930-1934, not implemented). He specialized in the construction and athletic and entertainment facilities. In 1928-1931. has developed several model projects playgrounds and pavilions, kiosks, and pop music for the gardens and parks of Leningrad (Yusupov garden, Ekateringofsky Park, Garden Durnovo).
