Faberge Museum bought for a million dollars song with cucumber, vodka and newspaper
Faberge Museum added to its collection of Russian jewelry house, bought for 800 thousand euros (1 million) a very unusual job - the rock on which decomposed "gentleman's set": fried eggs, a scrap of newspaper, cut-glass tumbler with unfinished vodka and smoked snack bull. The choice of newspapers in the work product of Faberge was not accidental: it is an exact copy of the "Gazette of St. Petersburg gradonachalstva" on October 18, 1905 with the text of the Imperial Manifesto on improvement of public order, signed on October 17, Nicholas II. Despite its apparent simplicity, still life made of the most expensive materials: bricks machined from jasper, white - of white stone, egg yolk - amber, a newspaper, fish, appetizer and flies - of silver, glass and its contents - from the crystal, and bull - Crystal and quartz. "This product is one of the most interesting ever created by Faberge," - says the founder of the museum's acquisition of Alexander Ivanov. - Faberge did not do more than anything like it, and yet, he certainly was in the vanguard, feeling subtly revolutionary mood of the time. " At the time of this work is rather a curious experiment in extreme naturalism, and even with political overtones, but today it is oddly reminiscent of some of the work of contemporary artists. Faberge Museum was opened in the German Baden-Baden in 2009 by Russian collector Alexander Ivanov. The exhibition includes more than 700 exhibits, including jewelry, a collection of cigarette cases, figures of animals and products of everyday use. The most expensive acquisition of the museum is purchased in 2007 for the 9 million British pounds egg created by a jeweler as a gift to Baron Rothschild in honor of his engagement in 1902. http://www.newsru.com/cinema/24nov2011/faberzhe.html |

Obviously eaten.
Very naturalistic, and surprisingly cool. It is hard to imagine such sculptures after the Easter eggs. Added photo better. |

Absolutely brilliant stuff! Ahead of time by a half-century, and how! It's a pity that in the article master is not specified, Faberge after all - but the company ... |
