Vienna - city of amazing architecture and beautiful music. Here intertwined all styles and periods: classical, baroque, Art Nouveau. Archimandrite Zinon - Internationally acclaimed artist, an outstanding contemporary icon painter, his work is largely determined the development of modern iconographic tradition. He started in the Pskov-Pechersk monastery, he worked in the Trinity-Sergius Lavra in St. Daniel Monastery in Pskov, Moscow and Moscow suburbs, in the Vladimir and other areas as well as abroad: in France, Finland, Italy, Belgium, Latvia . He has painted dozens of temples, hundreds of icons. My father Zinon many students who are working not only in Russia but also worldwide.
In the brigade of icon painters, who worked under the guidance of his father Zinon of Viennese painting the church, included Eugene Malyagin, Anton Eat, Ilya Ivankin Alexander Mysyk, Vassily Sokolov, Anna Kashirina from Russia, and Jaroslaw, and John Yakymchuk from Poland and Tatiana Shilovskaya from Austria. This is truly a masterpiece of religious art, testifying to his great artistic possibilities, as yet little realized in today's resurgent Orthodoxy.
Almost two years Zinon father worked in Vienna, but, as usual, finishing one job, the master is taken for another, not stopping there. He now works at Mount Athos, where he was to paint the temple in the ancient monastery of Simon Peter. Archimandrite Zinon in the world Theodor Vladimir Mikhailovich, Archimandrite, leader of the Russian Orthodox Church, house painter.

In the Pskov-Caves monastery had its own icon-painting tradition. Besides, he was an outstanding icon painter, his icons and wall paintings still adorn the monastery.

Taking monastic vows, Fr. Zinon had the opportunity to work for the Church, and his art was soon noticed the church authorities and claimed. In 1979, His Holiness Patriarch Pimen summoned him in the Trinity-Sergius Lavra. Here Fr. Zinon wrote iconostasises chapels in the crypt of the Cathedral of the Assumption, has created a set of individual icons. Patriarch Pimen was a great connoisseur of ancient iconography and highly appreciated work on. Zinon. In 1983, with the blessing of His Holiness.
