The fate of the artist evolved quite dramatically and has been alternating joys and tribulations. Alexander was born in 1911 in the tenements Dubovka Tsaritsyn province. He was the youngest in a large and prosperous family of industrialist Alexander Fedorovich Philbert, son of Germans and a Russian landowner. After leaving school he worked at a tractor factory, because only this work could help to go to college, where young people are sought to enter. But continued to paint, draw and paint! From a young age and until the last days of Alexander Philbert worked all the daylight hours, leaving the evening to read, prepare materials for speeches, articles, work on the treatise "On the technique of painting and paints, to correspond with Ukrainian and foreign artists.
