In New York ended auction Sotheby's, which were exhibited works of Russian art. Just two days were sold products to 13.6 million dollars.
Top-lot trades were the work of artists from the collection of the Odessa James Peremana. The collector, who emigrated in 1919, took with him the work of avant-garde of the Association of Independent Artists. After the death of Peremana in 1960 about his collection for a long time nothing was known. At Sotheby's 86 works from the collection Peremana sold one lot. We paid him 1.987 million dollars (the upper limit estimation - 2 million).
In addition, the success of buyers used the picture of Paul Chelishchev. His portrait of American actress Ruth Ford, estimated at 150-200 thousand dollars, was sold for 986.5 thousand (previous picture in the collection of most Ford, who died in 2009). Chelischevsky "Tattooed Man" was sold for 482.5 thousand dollars in the evaluation of 250-350 thousand. "Draw the blind, the estimated total of 40-60 thousand dollars, was sold for 314.5 thousand.
