In April (2012), according to TNS Gallup in Russia there are 70.8 Internet users aged 12 years (18 + audience is 64 million).

Of these, 41 million people live in cities with a population of over 100,000 inhabitants, 29.8 million - in settlements with smaller populations.

Growth rates of Internet audience in the cities of 100,000 + in the last year amounted to 15%in small towns and villages of 49%. The average annual growth rate of the audience in Russia as a whole is 27%.

The majority of Russians are not covered by the Internet - people in the age group 45 +.

The number of Internet users with a single point of access to the network declined to 46%of all users. Users with three or more access points increased to 53%. At the same time 52%of mobile internet users go online with a regular phone, 46%of the smartphone, and 10%of the tablet.

At the same TNS captures the widening gap between the numbers of unique users to the web statistics and the number of people living, visiting on the Internet (because of the increasing number of devices and access points). In 2008, the relationship between human beings and Unicom was approximately 2,6:1, today - 5,7:1. Gallup sees in Russia 360 million hosts with audience numbers 64 million (18 +).

Social networks of users, only one in eight (12%, 4.1 million) is registered in a single service. The largest share of these "woman man" falls on vKontakte - 2.4 million have classmates of 0.8 million, from Facebook - 200 000.
