I want to tell you that the artist George Shishkin - a citizen of Russia, who lives in Moscow. Another would be in his place would have to get a French passport. And he did not do that, he does not need. Prince of Monaco gave him a residence permit. It makes use of free movement in Europe.

According to the artist, namely in France, in Paris - the center of arts and entertainment industry - he was conscious of being a Russian artist.
Meetings with the "old Russian", to preserve the Russian culture away from Russia, gave him a new impetus to continue its cycle of "Russian Dreams".

I know that George Shishkin's paintings are in museums, for example: the State Art Gallery in Yekaterinburg (where he was born), the Theater Museum in St. Petersburg, the Museum of Opera and Ballet in Ekaterinburg, Uralmashzavod in the museum, the Museum Theater muses. Comedy in Yekaterinburg in the Ural State. Conservatory of Central House of Arts in Moscow, as well as - in private collections in Russia and abroad: British Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Albert of Monaco, Maestro Luciano Pavarotti, Lord Alistair Makalpayna, brothers, Lords of David and Frederick Barclay, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.
(If someone knows where else, add, please)

Georgy Shishkin has been actively involved in charity to benefit children in Russia.

I heard that the artist wanted to make a big exhibition in Moscow and in Russia's cities.

Oh you are boasts of hudozhnika.pomoemu do not need to do. The fact that the Prince of Monaco gave him a residence permit, or he wrote a portrait Depart, it's nothing znachit.V time Nikas Safronov wrote to Sophia Loren, or Heydar Aliyev. Of course this is not Shishkin Safronov, but I was very monotonous, and therefore does not interest me, I'm not a professional and made just his opinion. Ask a single question. Is it not noticed such museums as the State Tretyakov Gallery, or the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg?

How do you, Alexander Ivanov, who spent 20 years in Italy and worked for Russia, - artist of Russia? Or an artist in Italy? Surely you shall give his Italian heritage?

fborth, if these questions for me, then where he lives Shishkin, I was interested from a purely technical side: how he carries the picture here and there and all.
And Ivanov, Russian painter, and Gogol, Russian writer, if we remember to Italy.

On materials wikipedia Georgy Shishkin 1998 is a resident of the Principality of Monaco. In order that would move freely across Europe, not necessarily to become a resident of Monaco. This is to ensure that would avoid taxes. Where Georgy pays taxes? I suspect that is not in Russia ...

I totally agree with you. And what the artist a lot of difficulties, most likely it is. And with the carriage - too, especially when large size picture.

So Georgy Shishkin - Artist of Russia. Doubted?

All true. I opposed the do not you, and fborth. Do not say that this artist does not work on the market. That's when he ceased to engage in creative work and went into circulation (court portraits, models of stamps, registration of the presidential palace), then he became a resident of Monaco. Big money demand savings.
