In fact, the "Russian Seasons" Diaghilev in Paris began with a fine art, namely, from the exhibition "Two Centuries of Russian Art", organized by Sergei Pavlovich 1906 at the Grand Palace (Grand Palais) in the "Salon d'Automne." Who thought of this? The same was the opening of Russian art to the West!
Just in 2006, Grand Palais was opened after a difficult restoration work. And on the big show, I noted the picture of a large format, dedicated to Russia, which was written by a Russian artist Georgy Shishkin. I visited the "Autumn Salon 2006" and, among many works to his own surprise, opened the triptych "Dedication Diaghilev's Russian Ballet" artist George Shishkin. I have a catalog of the exhibition.
