List of the section of the monumental edition of "Description of Egypt," documentary research "scientists" who accompanied the ambitious expedition of Napoleon Bonaparte in Egypt (1798-1801). Authors engraving Allais and Bigant. Full name, translated into English reads: "Description of Egypt, or the collection of observations and studies done in Egypt during the expedition of the French army." European demand for information about Egypt and its glorious monuments led to the publication of two editions of this work, with prints of one plate of the press; this sheet from the second edition.
