Everyone knows a collection of short stories Giovanna Boccaccio Decameron: during the plague struck Florence in 1348, ten of the noble young men decide to leave the city and wait out the end of the epidemic in the estate of one of them. Collected immediately began to enjoy great success, while at the same time, its author has been criticized, in particular, for their philogyny. Accordingly, all new copies were made, and later - reissue of printed books. The most famous artists have done anlyuminyury to this masterpiece of late medieval literature or proto-Renaissance.
