As I was told today at 11 o'clock in the morning he died, Mikhail G. Abakumov, an artist from Kolomna.

Mikhail G. Abakumov (1948 born) - People's Artist of Russia. He graduated in 1977 Faculty of Arts All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (studio prof. IA spinel and GA Myasenikova). In 1983 he graduated from art workshops USSR Academy of Arts under the guidance of Academicians AP and SP Tkachev and AM Gritsaya. In 1985 and 1987 was awarded diplomas of the USSR Academy of Arts. In 1993 awarded the title of Honored Artist of Russia. In 1995 he was awarded the Gold Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts for a series of landscapes. In 2001, the title "People's Artist of Russia". In 2002 he was awarded the Republican Prize Balynitskogo-Birulya. In 2003 he was elected an Honorary Citizen of Kolomna.
