In the restoration of the house at 10 Garden street , workers found a niche in between the wall and the eaves of the rolled canvas, wrapped in newspapers 1917 - 1918 and pinned on top of old bricks . On canvas - Portrait young men in oils . Presumably, this image Tsarevich Alexei.

As reported by " Rosbalt " , the press service of the State Museum "Tsarskoye Selo" , which gave the work on canvas of 85 by 67 cm is in poor condition , with numerous small hall and a torn fragment. In the lower right corner - the signature of the artist: two uppercase letters S and further illegible. It can be assumed that the author wrote a portrait from a photograph 1913-1914 years .
