FROLOV GALLERY PRESENTS THE UKRAINIAN ARTIST EXHIBITION Anatoly Gankevich whose work is already well known to the Russian art-lovers. HIS WORK repeatedly demonstrated at various exhibitions and art fairs in Moscow, participate in the auction of contemporary art. THIS TIME WILL BE PRESENTED IN THE GALLERY 10 WORKS OF NEW PROJECT "COLOR". PAINTING PROJECT "COLOR", is, in the words of Anatoly Gankevich, attempts to combine the subtlest, Easy Japanese prints on the white paper with heavier, more brutal mosaic panels WESTERN EUROPE - mascara and Smalt, thin paper and rough CT. The basis of the exhibition - the ten large-format paintings, executed in the original technique used by the author since the early 90's - with the help of traditional painting techniques by applying pastose relief Anatolia Gankevich paint on canvas can simulate the effect of a mosaic. A challenging game of the painting surface texture fabrics combined with fine monochrome composite completeness works and unexpected lyrical themes have allowed the author to achieve a combination of several cultural-aesthetic paradigms. Ancient mosaics, Japanese prints, the irony inherent in contemporary art, the paintings Gankevich not only do not conflict, but organically complement each other.

I would like to leave behind the instrumental reasoning and deepen the observed. See and feel the simple things that exist only for the sake of themselves as objects of intrinsic value. Any explanation of this idea is not enough words for me, so I try to bring only the most modest ones thoughts on which repelled.

At first, innocent, childlike simplicity was a fundamental quality of the project. Then wanted to take something lying on the surface. I've been looking everyday, clean, but at the same time real, soulful way. Saw a banal view from the window or on the street without people and the environment. This view can remove every person who owns the camera - routine - it's nothing. But that's all right, as we know, can be anything. For example, a living mystery, fractal system (all repeats much smaller, from which it is) that folds into a chaotic pattern and composition of twigs and flowers.

Everyone must know the emotional effect of what he saw for the first time in a year, spring flowering trees. You come out sometime in the spring on a sunny morning on the street and you see how "everything to disband." It seems that everything is so painfully familiar, spring, "wedding flowers", and you still feel it is a new mood, a new joy, a blank sheet of paper. You know that it happens every year, but are you so happy about this gracious feeling of novelty, which, each time, we are concerned with, and which we constantly forget.

In the flowering trees in the first place, I see a simulation (one of the instincts of human nature), copying, - the birth of a new one. Flowering - is spring, sexy time, that excites us the relic level. It's a love mood, it's a blast wish all living beings survive from year to year, but the effect is the same, each time a new one.

So, then I decided, "Let there be color!" That's the way it turned out for the novelty of these paintings. "
