Default Artist VART?

Hello. Interested in your opinion. Still Life 1930., 60x90, cardboard (plywood?) Signature "VART". Nowhere can I find information about this artist, but a bit too stylish <!--~ Still Life 1 "->. Perhaps an alias. There are artist-Wart Potryakova, but it books, graphic, and with her creativity, we are especially acquainted, too, failed. The reverse side pictures glued on. Deed of gift inscription on the reverse of the author on one of the photos. Thank you in advance.
Signed" VART ".

Immediately remembered Sylvie Vartan and thought the same way as you:
Perhaps this is an alias.
Perhaps it is the surname Vartanian?

On a solid Latin and the main alias Vart, I think that this is a Finnish artist.
It's pretty ingenious, in the context of a pseudonym - a play on one side Finnish national anthem, as an indication of nationality, on the other hand the word is translated from Swedish "Everyone." Like Captain Nemo.
  So-Finnish humor.

Here you are bent ...

Vårt land-is actually in Swedish, "our land", "our land", "our country" in this case and is pronounced "vårt" as "Worth."

In the painting the inscription is not pronounced and spelled-Vart (the idea of something, "each").

If it is known from questioning may be clearer with a signature.

If written by a man who knows Swedish, he is not using the "å" would have written "aa".

But all these lovely lingvinisticheskie Exercise, I think, are irrelevant to the issue theme.

Not exactly a Swedish or Finnish.

It would be "stilleben" or even "asetelma".

Maybe it's an American artist of Russian origin Leon Vart?

He has been associated with skiing, which priohotilsya still in pre-revolutionary Russia (Article 1962):

Also on one of auktsinov sold a number of things signed by both Leon Vart
(See photo). Perhaps it is precisely this artist's work:

And yet this same lot number 126:
http://www.liveauctioneers.com/h/ite...h&ah=177-66d8e
http://www.jenack.com/viewauction.as...in=101&max=150

Also on the schedule Ibee signed Leon Vart (see photo number 2):

An article in The New York Times in 1922, which mentions the workshop Leon Warta in New York:
http://query.nytimes.com/mem/archive...DE405B828EF1D3

Perhaps this New Yorker (see below) and there's an artist Leon Vart; in any case, this man in 1962, to October 25, it was precisely in 1973 (see first article):

Leon VART
 Birth Date: 25 Oct 1888
 Death Date: Jan 1965
 Social Security Number: 130-12-5614
State or Territory Where Number Was Issued: New York

 Actual Death Residence: New York
