Default The art of stone-cutting plastic

I do not know where to start. I quite by accident and just recently saw a few works of our masters of stone-cutters. No, I certainly knew and saw the production of this craft, but so that some work is even remotely could be close to art ...
And here, not just a few papers, and a whole galaxy of artists. See for yourself, the first number is the work of the world's elite lapidary art from German Idar-Oberstein, and the second number - ours.

These artists have already grown up students, and among them I am particularly pleased to note the two great masters - Olga and Natalia Poptsovu Bakut, and the first two papers in the first post them too.
A last work - it BIMCO Ovchinnikov, sorry did not find in the Internet Ryzhik, it doubles the work absolutely wonderful cat.

In a paradox, the work which the master makes sometimes for a year and which exists in one copy, is just within the amounts that are on our website are treated as a small investment, that is, from 1 to 10 thousand dollars. Moreover, their Number naturally limited, as masters of the whole is not more than a hundred, and even less good, that is a year they can not produce so much work.
Over the past 5 years certainly made some efforts to create a market and higher prices for the works, but so far this auction sale with the maximum result seems to 15,000 pounds.

Auction - secondary market, but such things do not often sell, their love and even the heirs are trying not to part with them.

And the price of masonry figures Faberge You do not count?

Despite public. "If I'm not mistaken, a little animalistic Faberge is 10-15 times more expensive, about 4-5 thousand pounds and it is the lower bound as a rule, no? I admit, not a big fan of Faberge, his followers mostly people older than 50, but may I will love to retirement.
But the flowers that I only have Faberge really like them, cost about 200 pounds 300tysyach, and it is 15-20 times more turns. Well, agree 150 flowers from Faberge at all is clearly not enough. And when compared not bad considering that a large part of what is sold as a Faberge made much later.
