He studied at the Central Stroganov School of Technical Drawing (central Stroganov School of Industrial Art) in Moscow (1903-1916), first in the sculpture class in 1909 - in a graphic studio SS Goloushev's (S. verb).

A series of architectural forms of Moscow and Petrograd (1911-1914; color linocut), a series of drawings with views of Feodosia (the beginning of 1920, watercolor, gouache, tempera). Collaborated in the State Publishing House, Publishing House Academia, and others. Created illustrations for the book "Anna Karenina" by Leo Tolstoy (1930-1932), "Tales of Belkin Pushkin (second half of 1930)," Humpbacked Horse "Ershov," Dombey and Son " Charles Dickens, "Confessions J.-J.
