We can not accept - perhaps, indeed, the most interesting and strong work Pimenov. However, it is so different from most known of his things, take at least a series of "New Moscow" or ultraboundary portrait of Pasternak, recently exhibited at Sovkome.
By the way, at the Salon a collection of his graphic 50-ies exhibited on the mezzanine floor - some things were simply stunning. There, as Moscow genre sketches (including the festival), and the types of Venice, London. Especially liked the Piazza San Marco, where the kids feed the pigeons. I took a few shots - did not turn very well - not anti-glare glass stand, but you can try pofotoshopit. If this works out - lay out.

And I love Pimenova period of utopian avant-garde 20-ies - things like "Give tazheluyu industry", "anti-imperialist rally in New York" - that's where strength and power is not trampled dreams of a bright future of socialism. Job "New Moscow" - no doubt, their bright beautiful lyricism and artistic qualities, but there is nothing new - it is a rehash of Impressionism, while the 37-th year - all the same feat. That's gradually master of innovation through impressionism on Soviet Socialist Realism went to clean water, as exemplified by the series "New Moscow" and "P-T Pasternak".

Eugene, was exhibited at the gallery anetresolnom floor, where there is usually quite weak exposition. This, according to the plate gallery Helena Zenin, they had a few very notable works: graphic Deineka, very beautiful still life Gerasimov - the same plana, some large, exposed to the November Sotheby's, this is a link on the lot: http://www.sothebys.com/app/live/lot...t_id=159498933. It is strange that such work was exhibited in a wrong place, in my opinion they belong, rather, in the VIP area on the second floor. Although the owners know better.
Gallery itself is located in the same CHA, I went - there was something curious. Most of all I liked the look of the University of New Circus (confess, I breathe unevenly to Seven Sisters), some unknown to me the artist, written, as I said in the seventies. Now that's hard to think about it, because the price is more or less adequate, in my opinion (and wallet).

I believe that the 3 rd floor in the CHA (which is an antique showroom), the most interesting for collectors and art dealers, you can find amazing things .. but on the 2 floor all the top-end galleries upstairs .. too bad .. always display at the salon, I exhibited from 2003 to 2005 t.ch.vse kitchen know well ....

OlgaV, Gallery of Elena Zenin, deals with long-Soviet themes and work in the collection were quite good, but what showed here, "passer" very high level ..
