Armenian artist February 28, 1880 - May 5, 1972 Martiros Saryan was born (16) February 28, 1880 near Rostov-on-Don. Ancestors of Ani Saryan moved to the Crimea, and in the reign of Catherine II of the Crimean shore of the Don. Saryan's large family, following the tradition, lived a simple measured and patriarchal life on a lonely farm in the distance from the city.
