If we compare with the way we learn to handle the text, but we call him an unusually well-even despite the language barrier - learning the alphabet, while still very young, accumulating huge amounts of vocabulary in childhood, learning the intricate structure of the sentence in a youth and in adulthood, endlessly improving our ability to handle text-education in the visual image will appear very poor and certainly inadequate and disparate.
I studied painting and I paint as much as making movies, but I know that I can not come to a film producer or a studio with ten pictures and five books of drawings and say, "Give me money."
They do not even understand what I mean, hell, I say.
They do not understand what I suggest.
They need a text - they need words - they will have something that actually belongs to the bookstore and not a movie.
And this despite the fact that we have always believed that film - it is a visual medium.
And if the text or script has successfully established itself in the market, as in the case of "Harry Potter" or "Lord of the Rings" - the better.
And it goes without assumes that all movies that you've ever seen - not a movie, and - assuming that the film was invented in 1895 - one hundred sixteen years of illustrated text.
So none of us had never seen the movie, we saw only an illustrated text. Thus, the cinema - a secondary medium. Our film is based on the text.
It does not matter, Godard you or Tarantino, Almodovar and Lars Von Trier, Martin Scorsese and James Cameron, is how we invent and build a movie - an illustration of the word.
And I do not like it.
A simple illustration does not satisfy me.
That is, after all that we do not film composers and conductors.
And that, I think, not what we want.
Conductors, of course, are also necessary, but the composer is ten thousand times more valuable.
If there are composers, conductors can be dispensed with, but you can not do without the composers, conductors, if only.
That is why, I believe, the language of film is so poor today.
So what do we do with this?
First of all, we all agree that the text there are many ways to prolong his life, poetry, novels, short stories, theater - more than enough to balance the text and not absorbed film.
And that is why we fully come to the fact that the movie should be reserved for the visual.
And therefore decide what visual education should become an essential part of compulsory general education program.
And that is why I personally believe that we need to film artists and creators of the image, not words writers and blacksmiths - whose appearance in the modern way of thinking is not so likely, but at least the onset of the digital revolution will become a necessity.
For new filmmakers, I'd go not to the bookshop and art school.

Cinema of the future must be interactive and multimedia.
But all the same movie to die - so that our great-grandchildren will say: "Movie - and that is all there?"
But if the movie dies, painting - ever.
