The exhibition will present over 130 paintings by H. Gassieva written in the 1950s - 2010's.

HSAR Izmailovich SSIA was born in 1929 in South Ossetia, in Tskhinvali. His father was rector of the State Pedagogical Institute in Tskhinvali, South Ossetia's Commissar of Education, the main editor of the first South Ossetian newspaper "Hurzarin" ("Sunrise"), his mother - a school principal.
In 1938, the parents were arrested. My father shot his mother sentenced to jail for 11 years as the wife of an "enemy of the people."

In 1950, he graduated from art school Tskhinvali,
teacher Maharbeg Tuganov.
From 1951 to 1957 he studied at the Tbilisi Academy of Arts,
teachers and Basil Shukhaiev Apollo Kutateladze.
Since 1961 member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
In 1964 he began graduate of the Moscow Art Institute. VI Surikov, a teacher, VF Ryndin.
In 1980, the title of Honored Artist of the Georgian SSR.
Since 2000, a member of the Association of Artists Mytishchi district.
In 2009 he was awarded the title People's Artist of the Republic of South Ossetia.
Beginning in 1968 spent more than 20 solo exhibitions.
