Opening June 20 at 19.00 in the branch of the State Literary Museum, Trubnikovsky Pereulok, 17 (House Ostroukhova)
The exhibition will feature approximately 100 works. Along with pastels in the exhibition will include some of the oil, which are quite numerous in the artistic heritage of the artist.
Of Boris Alekseevich Smirnov-Rusetsky (1905-1993) - painter cosmist, a student of Nicholas Roerich - occupies an important place in the history of twentieth century art not only as an artistic phenomenon, but also as cultural studies the phenomenon. A native of St. Petersburg's famous aristocratic family, part of the circle of the Symbolists turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries poets and philosophers, Smirnov Rusetsky organically part of the culture of the time. Boris Smirnov-Rusetsky, passing, as an artist, a way of becoming a creative and deeply perceived the theosophical theory, so popular in times of disasters. As part of the exhibition will be a presentation of book by Boris Smirnov-Rusetsky "Going." This autobiography was published in the 1990s. with large bills. The book, published by the gallery "Vellum", includes a full version of the author and 33 photo illustrations of his works from the collection of the gallery.
