"Iskurdiada" Lazarus Gadaev - in the Pushkin Museum. AS Pushkin

From 4 July to 15 September in the department of personal collections of the Museum of Fine Arts. AS Pushkin will be presented to a large exhibition of works by famous Russian sculptor Lazarus Gadaev . The exhibition " Iskurdiada " timed to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the artist.

Lazarus Gadaev - bright and original sculptor of the late XX - early XXI century , with a special plastic thinking and method of execution. His works - rare in contemporary art symbiosis of tradition traditional plastics Ossetia with the medieval Christian tradition and the practice of European sculpture XIX- XX centuries.

The word " iskurdiada " accidental issued in the name of the exhibition. On Digorskaya Ossetian language is a dialect - " prayer ." That's what has been called a book of stories and poems in prose Lazarus Gadaev .

The exhibition will feature 46 works by masters , including sculptures of the last two decades , as well as a series of reliefs " Way of the Cross ."
