In 1938-1939 the Soviet Union was preparing among other things, and to the World's Fair in New York. The Soviet pavilion in New York built the architect Boris Iofan (draft Muravina LD), and a team of artists led by Yuri Pimenov wrote for the pavilion panel "New Moscow" ( "physical culture parade in Moscow"). Panno "gym parade", placed in the hall of Urban Development of the Soviet pavilion, provides the background for the six-meter vertical layout of the Palace of Soviets.

And what is the architecture of the future belongs - on this score were different opinions. Clear indication we have received, although most architects favored the classics. We had to close the whitewash very large areas and re-erect the columns and high-rise buildings, and most importantly - to build an architecture that no one has ever seen ...
