Eugene M. Kravtsov - Russian artist. Born in 1965. In 1989 he graduated from Novoaltaisk art school. In 1989-90 he taught drawing in Novoaltaysk art school. In 1996 he graduated Rossiyskuyu Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Favorite subject in the work Kravtsov is the nature of the Russian North, where the artist regularly went to the creative expedition. The outcome of these visits was the creation of such films as "Mezensky boats", "Palaschele", "Northern Nights". This work continues the tradition of Russian artists such as Levitan, Turzhansky, Byalynitsky-Birula. Already in these works is characteristic peculiar Kravtsov cold muted scale. Subsequently, the artist contributes to this technique, focusing on graphic quality, textured object, creating their own pictorial technique combining oil painting with sepia drawing on the canvas.

Currently the artist lives and works in Kosteryovo Vladimir region. Recently, the artist is a favorite genre of still life, a picture of everyday household items: garlic, baskets, table surface. Here Kravtsov resonates with the American artist Andrew Wyeth, as in the plot and in performance. Especially I want to note are works by the artist's last period, as a "spill the milk," "Ironweed," "Peace", "a rolling field." The artist has repeatedly participated in group and solo exhibitions in Russia and abroad. His works are museum RAZhViZ, in private collections in Russia, France, Britain, Italy and the United States.
