Boris Markevitch after graduating in 1949 graphics department of the Moscow Art Institute. VI Surikov worked in many publishing houses. His book illustrations repeatedly received diplomas and medals . Markevich was a member of a large number of major exhibitions in the USSR and abroad. According to an international directory of Who's who in Grafic Art in 1962 , the artist was among the top 400 charts around the world. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation , Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts.
