From the Center for Contemporary Art Witte de Witte (Witte de With) in Rotterdam disappeared banner size of 30 to 11 meters, which was part of Russia's installation art group AES + F. It is reported ArtDaily.
The incident occurred Feb. 19, when the banner "Trimalchio's Feast" (The Feast of Trimalchio) was removed from the building of the museum Witte de Witt, to be replaced by another image - as a giant portrait of Michael Jackson's work of German artist Isa Genzkow (Isa Genzken). The workers were so busy installing a new installation, that did not notice the "Feast of Trimalchio, who was lying on the sidewalk and disappeared.
The museum director expressed surprise at the fact that the work of this size could steal in broad daylight. Artists have already been reported missing, police are busy looking for the installation.
"Trimalchio's Feast," named for the Roman character of the novel "Satyricon", became one of the four giant installations on the facade of the building, the combined title "Between you and me" (Between you and I). They should be placed in the museum for one year in the big exhibition "Ethics" (Morality). Russia group AES + F (Tatiana Arzamasova, Leo Evzovich, Eugene Svyatskiy, Vladimir Fridkes) was already a "Feast of Trimalchio" at the Biennale in Venice.
