Sasha Bella Exhibition in St. Petersburg

In a friendly my gallery SOVA-ART has recently opened an exhibition of "Sasha Bella. Painting.'s Not a hindrance." I would like to share my impressions.
I know Sasha's work for quite some time - occasionally seen them on some city exhibitions. It was a very nice painting: landscapes and genre scenes populated by characters a little sleepwalking. Work is always very decorative, with a good culture of color, handmade and warm on the internal contents (namely, that warm - not hot or cold). Such a lovely woman's painting. The works were pleasant, but never let me "clinged." But some time ago, Sasha began to occur amazing metamorphosis. Her painting "posurovela, it appeared the inner strength, energy, sometimes reaching to the explosion. Changed color. Work radically departed almost black and white with occasional splashes of scale pale, muted colors glow from within. At the same time maintain positive mood paintings, in spite of them, at first glance, not a cheerful color. On this painting I had actually "incurred a roof." Of course, this painting is not for everyone. I think for many it will simply baffled shrug. But if you let yourself get used to work in this world, he has not let go.
The works presented in the exhibition, just recently - just this kind.
We must pay tribute to the organizers - the exposition is very well built, verified, helping to open up works best. Yes, and the format of the gallery promotes the "intimate" fellowship with the works, as the size of the room is rather small.
It looks like this even spirit of the times - the appearance of small galleries with access to pre-call, where the atmosphere itself sets a serious mood, where there is dialogue, conversation. Now in St. Petersburg it has become quite common.

Sasha Belle
Born in Leningrad in 1958. In 1982 she graduated from the Leningrad Higher Art and Industrial School. VI Fly. Since 1996, a member of the Artists Union. Since 1982, a regular participant of exhibitions. Works are in the Museum of St. Petersburg (St. Petersburg), Museum of Art (Samara), in private collections in Russia and abroad. Participated in more than 100 group exhibitions in Russia and abroad. Author of seven poetry books.
