Golden Age of pastels, during its heyday associated with the name Rosalba Carrière (1675 - 1757). Portraits, women's and children's heads, made by an artist, deprived of heroic pathos, edification, rhetoric. Its influence experienced many painters, including the Swede Gustaf Lundberg (1695-1786), the largest English pastel and pastel theorist John Russell (1745-1806). Carriere had an impact in the technical sense, and the evolution of female portraits in a style which was to some extent, accepted and developed by many masters of the mid XVIII century, in particular, and such a consummate artist, as Francois Boucher .....
