HSAR GASSIEV. A retrospective exhibition dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the artist

Hsar Gassiev one of the biggest artists of the Caucasus. The author of more than a thousand paintings. Arriving in Moscow in the early 60s, was formed as an artist in Moscow "left" environment. Back in Tskhinval, applied and developed the idea of "the sixties", joining them in their work with the heritage of craftsmen Aslanbek Edzieva, Niko Pirosmani. Influenced by the work of Gassiev in Ossetia has raised a whole generation of young original artists, sculptors and writers.
Over the last decade, the artist works a lot: always looking for something new, a lot of experiments, repeated many old songs.
The whole life experience of the artist left a deep and tragic print on his work and at the same time, his works reflect a greater love for his country Ossetia, its people and nature. And at age 85, Hsar Gassiev still active and hardworking artist, to the question "what do you dream?" answers: "I Want people to understand what I wanted to say for his paintings...".
The last major exhibition of the artist in Moscow (CHA) was organized by the Ministry of culture of the USSR in 1986, the Current exhibition, after 28 years again in the Central house of artists, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Hsra Gassiev, capital gives the audience the opportunity to see the paintings of the masters.
