Hsar Izmailovich Gassiev - an artist about whom little is known. For a variety of events, he was after 1989 dropped out of sight of the Russian audience. The exhibition, which we discover in Mytishchi Art Gallery October 21 largest and most serious since the artist's solo exhibition in Central House of Artists in 1986. Many of the works exhibited for the first time Gassieva. It's like the early works brought back from Tskhinvali, as well as pictures painted in recent years. There will be 130 paintings on display.
Gassieva artist's work, in my opinion, consists of two opposites. Some paintings immerse the viewer in an atmosphere of kindness and sincerity of his native town of Tskhinvali, beauty and light of his homeland of South Ossetia. Full of love for mankind and nature of their native land. Others are immersed in the pain of the soul of the artist, full of piercing tragedy. Difficult childhood and life certainly left a mark on his work. Pictures Hsara Gassieva - this is his memories, feelings, experiences, filtered through the soul.
On the eve of the exhibition to tell you about a few pictures:
Funeral March (The Bridge), 1983, 70x90 cm, c /m.
In Tskhinvali, the river flows Liakhvi, and through it a bridge. Every morning is Hsar through him to the studio, because he loves to work in the early morning hours, when the city was still asleep. Bridge the old and picturesque. Is it possible to put into words all that each time creates a path across the river in the soul of an artist? Probably can not be conveyed but the words sound color, touch the brush. Not for nothing that Gassiev says that movement of the soul is associated with stroke. After the bridge leaving the city, come to him eventually pass away loved ones. Thus, during the war created a brass band and he played some very sad at a funeral march. Later, as an adult, Hsar learned that playing Beethoven. The boy walked behind the orchestra, listening to strange sounds to Tskhinvali, falling within the open mystery of their power. The artist says: "This tragic music coincided with my mood and state of mind. Many of his paintings, I wrote while listening to music by Beethoven. This is my favorite composer ... "
The second work - repeat "Funeral March" in 2003.
