| Chernikov Hope Eliseevna artist 09/30/1916 - 2010 Biography Painter. Member of the Union of Artists. Prophecy that the light will be a talented artist who has a dream of her mother. Seven paintings, written by her on the eve of celebration of 60 anniversary of the victory at Stalingrad, the artist gave to local lore museum, unfortunately, not having received a two-year hard work of a dime. Having experience in dealing with foreigners (and Chernikov traveled to the Czech Republic, Poland, Spain), she tells of close attention in the West in Russian art. For three years (from 1996 to 1998), art historian Dolores Spaniard, traveling in Russia, bought from the artists paintings. And in 1999 in Madrid, opened an art gallery in a specially built for this huge building with many rooms. At the presentation were invited Russian artists, including Chernikov. Gathered in Madrid's high society led by members of the royal family. In honor of the guests was arranged a banquet in one of the best restaurants in the capital. Paintings were sold on the "cheers". Proceeds for the amount allowed them Volgograd artist for a long time to create without worrying about the "daily bread".
