Rahim Akhmedov (1921-2008) - Soviet painter, People's Artist of the Uzbek SSR ( 1962). Since 1965 Chairman of the Board of the Union of Artists of the Uzbek SSR . He was awarded the State Prize of the Uzbek SSR . Hamza (1967) for a series of portraits of contemporaries . Also awarded the Order "Badge of Honor ."

biography

Rahim Akhmedov was born in 1921 in Tashkent. He has come a long life and career . In 1947-1953 he studied at the Institute of Fine Arts , Sculpture and Architecture in Leningrad Repin . Career he began in 1953 Tutor Republican Art School named P.Benkov , then worked as a senior lecturer , professor at the Tashkent State Institute of Arts. In 1965-1984 and 1992-1994, he was chairman R.Ahmedov Union of Artists of Uzbekistan.

A talented artist in his works with a high skill extolled the unique beauty of nature homeland, good values and traditions of our people, to create images of hard-working and generous people . His works have been successfully exhibited at the prestigious art exhibitions in our country and in many foreign countries.
