U.S. Consul General in St. Petersburg, Bruce Turner and Mrs.
Veronique Turner announce a competition to draw the residence
Consul General of paintings by contemporary Russian
artists. The best picture will adorn the residence, where often
high-ranking officials of Russia, the United States and other countries for the period from
one to three years. At the end of this period, the picture will be
returned to the authors.
We offer Russian artists - amateurs and professionals -
provide one's own job performance on the theme of "North-West
Russia through my eyes. " We ask artists to show their country
through recognizable landmarks in St. Petersburg and other
areas of the North-West.
The competition is held from February 6 to April 6, 2012. To participate in the

The competition is held among artists over 14 years.

To participate in the competition are accepted paintings on canvas, a minority party
which must be at least 60 centimeters in length. Welcome
works on canvas of a large size. Accepted as a new work, so

Participants
The competition is open to all artists, both amateurs and professionals.
The competition is part Russian citizens over 14 years.
Registration
Registration and participation in the competition are free.
By registering, the participant agrees to all rules of the contest.

Requirements for works
To participate in the contest are only accepted paintings.
Each participant may submit only one work.
Entries must be signed.
The work may be new or previously completed.

Delivery of works
Entries are accepted in the Department of Press and Culture
U.S. Consulate General in St. Petersburg at the embankment
River Embankment House, 36, a business center, "Northern Capital", 4th Floor, St.

Participants are responsible for packing and shipping operations in
Consulate.
Contestants must agree on the delivery of the Consulate of two
working days by phone +7 812 336 77 60, since we can not
provide access to the Consulate without a separate agreement.
Assessment of work
Evaluate the work will be U.S. Consul General and Mrs. Bruce Turner
Veronique Turner, together with experts (jury).
Evaluation criteria: skill of the artist and the reflection of theme.
The jury's decision is not appealable.
Because of the winners will be posted in the residence

Works of winners
As a result of the competition jury will work twenty (winners)
which will be exhibited at a reception at the residence of Consul General

The authors of the winners give their consent to the use of pictures

Consulate. Images of all paintings can be used to

2013, developed by the Consulate in order to spread
among the partners.
Taking part in the contest, the artist affirms that he (she)
acquainted with the rules of the competition and has fulfilled all requirements under
these rules. Also participant confirms that he (she)
provided their own ideas and work of its own performance and that he
(She) has the right to provide work for the competition
under these rules.
Any member who violates the rules of the contest shall be
disqualification.
The U.S. Consulate General in St. Petersburg reserves
right at any time change the rules of the contest.
