Elena Il'icheva

   At first glance at the canvas at heart could not help a feeling of unexpected glory,

     The artist has set itself the difficult goal - to know the true nature of things and
phenomena intuitive way. Sometimes her paintings resemble a dream realized, it is because they are the selection and use of real elements, combined to create a special mood. This mood of admiring nature, lofty dreams, mystical vizionizma.
      Il'icheva developed a special approach to the subject represented, because she firmly believes that the picture-
is not simply a combination of lines and colors are not blind imitation of nature but a different procedure values.
Each image viewer must fill their own understanding. As an artist, it has to know the true essence of things through intuition. It is all my soul befell

spatiality in the things themselves still lives as if they were studying under the watchful eyes of a pioneer. These things, though on a deserted island of Robinson Crusoe, of vital jewel, the expressive power of saving benefit, and therefore represent a full beauty of the material civilization.
   Pictures of Helena have the amazing ability to transmit secret thoughts and feelings.
Even the images of flowers in still life is inherent mysteriousness. It just seems that she is drawn to flowers, but in fact it tends to always stay with people. And the organic world

"Manuscripts of the old masters" - one of the last paintings, marked 2010. Under that name in St. Petersburg opened exhibition of works by artist Helen Ilyicheva Odessa, which is not the first time holds thematic shows of his work, in particular the combined cycle.

Amazing artist created images of distant centuries alloy with short-term objective world of things - this is true, "the anthem of Harmony", its "fine ringing" (the title of one of the paintings in 2008), the glorification of the beauty of life in the "major chord" (painting, 2007), the call to search for light and joy.

For Elena Ilyicheva revealing unmistakable ability to get into the atmosphere of an ancient, mysterious, as if covered by a time of color, rich in exquisite shades of rich, deep red and brown tones. However, the most accurate definition of color down her painting belongs to the author of paintings: "The combination of coral and gray and silver ..." However, she is able to cope brilliantly with lots of flavor in an unsafe red ('Ruby grain, "2007;" Bordeaux " , 2008; "The concentration of purple", 2009).

Helen Ilyicheva inherent ability to convey a sense of light coming from inside. There are not simulated sunlight or artificial light, luminosity characteristic of most of its paintings. Paint under her hands, is transformed - by passing the color of objects, it simultaneously becomes immaterial, flowing stream of inspiration. With this, possibly due to a sense of depth and space while preserving the unity of the picture plane. The impression of the surface of the canvas like an ancient palimpsest contemplation - made of calfskin parchment, with which many times to clean off the old one, replacing the new one.

By his own admission the author, she constantly refers "to the artists of the Renaissance, imbued with their rite of art", inspired by images of Leonardo and Michelangelo - their paintings, graphics and monumental works. In the canvas «Arte scienza» (from the series "Manifesto", 2010), as a kind of password, read the word sfumato, which Leonardo da Vinci meant his magical art most delicate chiaroscuro.

Even the names of some works ("The sum of interacting elements") effect which distinguishes art Helena Ilyicheva free layout. Often, the artist skillfully uses the effect of an unfilled background from which, as it were involuntarily, and grows freely image. "Carefully listen to space," the artist's own words, feel himself in it, "to achieve realization pipe dream" - this is her problem ...

Often felt the touch of a live hand - the artist prefers to work without the usual attributes of the painter - brush, assuming that only touch the surface creates a picture of the colorful masses directly with your fingers can make the audience feel anxious feelings, possessed by the author of the work. Painting, which is, according to Helen Ilyicheva, continuous insight "is needed if it is needed." When one becomes acquainted with its distinctive art, it is a consciousness of the viewer and can become permanently part of it.
