Nicholas Nikanorovich Dubovskoy born in Novocherkassk (5) December 17, 1859 in a family of Cossack elders, the Don.

Initially, he studied at the military school, then in the St Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts (1877-1881) in M. Klodt. Not once traveled to Western Europe and the Middle East. He was a member of the "Society of the Wanderers" (from 1886), since 1899, was part of his reign. Lived mostly in St. Petersburg.

An example of great constancy in their chosen path in the works is a wonderful Russian landscape painter Nicholas Nikanorovich Dubovskoy.
